Hello Students!

I am a recent graduate of Wake Forest University School of Medicine with a PhD and Master's degree in Cancer Biology, where my research focused on areas of Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, Virology, Pharmacology, and Biochemistry. While working towards my degree, I was an Assistant Professor of Biology at Guilford Technical community College where I instructed General Biology and Anatomy & Physiology lectures and labs. As a professor, I understand the need and importance of outside study assistance and am eager to help anyone willing to learn become more knowledgeable about the subject I love.

I have been a Biology tutor for almost 10 years, which began as a way to help my friends during my undergraduate years, and have seen continued success of the many students that I have tutored, ranging from high school to non-traditional adult students. I strongly believe that biology is not about reciting facts from a textbook, but rather a complete understanding of how things work together to function properly. Explanation of concepts and theories are the key to helping students apply concepts to situations they can relate to. This method has proven to be very effective and has helped even the most uninterested students find a spark. If you are ready, I am excited and willing to help you learn!
